Frequently Asked Questions
Sizing
Your PV Systems
Accurately sizing the components of your solar electric system, also
known as a photovoltaic (PV) system, helps ensure that your system will
produce the amount of power you want it to produce.
Suppose that you would like to meet a certain percentage of your “On
Peak” electricity needs with your PV system. We will examine your past
electric bills and determine the size of the PV system needed to achieve
that goal. You can contact your utility company and request the total
electricity usage, measured in kilowatt-hours (kWh), for your household
or business over the past 12 months or consult your electric bills if
you save them.
How
much does a system cost?
It depends on what system is required to meet your needs for your
home, business or industrial location. The physical panel installation
areas. The direction that the panels face. The angle of degrees that
panels are mounted. The location, temperature footprint. The rated
efficiency of the modules and the temperature co-efficiencies. Local
dust, weather and shading factors. The efficiency of the inverters and
the insulation profile of the city.
Are there rebates or tax incentives available?
We will have all rebate information for you relative to utilities, as
well as all state and federal tax incentives.
